History

The visionary ideas of President & CEO, Victor D. Amey and the Board of Directors of Cadbury Senior Services, Inc., to establish a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Lewes Delaware began as early as 1996. Ten years of planning and dedication led to construction of Cadbury on 35 acres adjacent to the historic town of Lewes.

Cadbury’s first residents moved into the “only CCRC at the beach” early in 2007. Offering both cottages and apartments for Independent Living, as well as Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing, Cadbury has become a vital part of the Lewes’ senior community, offering lifestyle choices never before available.
