Located on 35 well-manicured acres, Cadbury offers convenient apartments and spacious cottages as well as a healthcare center should you or your spouse’s health needs shift.

Cadbury Senior Lifestyles, Lewes is located near charming historic Lewes, Delaware which boasts great shopping, eateries, museums and galleries and just minutes from the pristine beaches of Delaware. All this and still easily accessible to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York.

Discover the inner artist in you with a watercolor painting class, challenge your mind with the bridge group, splash around with friends in a water aerobics class and socialize at the complimentary happy hour every Friday. Of course, the greater Lewes area has many museums, art galleries, sporting opportunities and fabulous shopping and dining only minutes from the campus. And, don't forget the beach! Lewes Beach or the Cape Henlopen State Park offer beautiful beaches.

6. Does Cadbury offer dining choices?

Yes, in fact we offer one of the most flexible dining choices you'll find! Whether you choose casual “Bistro” dining (available everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner) or the more traditional dining in the "Chart Room" for dinner, you will enjoy delicious healthful food. We also offer very popular brunches and buffets throughout the week. Want to dine at home? Take-away is always available from the Boathouse Bistro. There are even private dining options if you and your family wish to celebrate a special occasion - reserve the private dining room and select your menu with the help of our chef or have him cater the event in your home. And, guests are always welcome!

7. Do you allow wine with dinner?

Aside from our complimentary Happy Hour every Friday you may bring wine or beer to dinner.

8. Can guests stay in my home at Cadbury?

Friends and family are welcome to visit with you! Need more room? We offer a guest room and a guest cottage for a small fee. All visitors are registered for the safety of all residents and guests.

9. May I bring my pet with me?

Pets are part of our families. Not only do we accept well behaved domestic pets, we have a fenced “Bark Park” for dogs.

10. What does “movement through the continuum of care” mean?

If your health needs change, additional services are available right on campus. You can access companion services in your home, or move to the Five Star rated on-site health center. No need to move from the Cadbury campus to access assistance, whether it is temporary or permanent. 11. What happens if I run out of money?

Cadbury Senior Lifestyles practices fiscal responsibility. We have a financial qualifying process that is conservative in nature based on your age at entry, your assets and your income. If, through no fault of your own, you cannot make your full monthly payment Cadbury will make arrangements to find financial assistance on your behalf through the Friends of Cadbury Fund. In over 30 years, Cadbury has never asked a resident to leave due to inability to pay.
